Many of you might be surprised to know that I like sushi. While I do not consider myself to be an afficiando of the cuisene, I do partake. Today, I took a simple lunch to work; a can of tuna, some crackers and a no-sugar-added Snack Pack vanilla pudding. When I went to eat my lunch, I realized there was no can opener in the buidling.
I have been thinking about going to this other Japanese restaurant that I saw when my office was relocated. Before that, I had been going to a Japanese place near where my office used to be. So, I took the opportunity. I went in and was greated by a woman with a friendly smile. There were only two other diners in the restaurant, so my order arrived quickly; beginning with the soup and salad - much like the “other” Japanese place.
Then, before I could even finish the soup, my server brought out the California roll I had order - boy did it look good. She then presented my chopsticks on a dish - sort of like a pedastal - that I realized was to be used for the sauce, which was already at the table.
I always make an effort to at least try the chopsticks. I usually end up getting one or two bites before I give up and pick up the fork. But this time, I was determined. I fumbled around a bit and it took a couple minutes longer to eat - but I ate the entire thing with my chopsticks!
Another life goal realized.
(Hey, I never claimed that all my blog posts would be interesting, did I?)

You owe me about thirty seconds that I can tack back on to my life…

I made sure to take 60 seconds to draft my response. (I am a slow typer). There. I paid you back double.
I know this is gonna sound odd coming from a fat kid with bits of raw pig flesh caught between his teeth, but I actually prefer Sushi to steak at this point…
…most of the time.
