Yesterday, WordUp celebrated two years of blogging in its current capacity. With 2007 about twenty minutes from closing up shop, I thought I would post one of those “top posts of 2007” posts. This one isn’t necessarily the “top” posts. Rather, I am selecting one post from each month and explaining why I selected it. All of them are worth revisiting or perusing for the first time.
- January: Uncle Jesse Never Saw This One Coming - Stephanie Tanner turns host of “Pants Off Dance Off” after defeating several life struggles. This post seems to attract visitors even almost a year later. Not sure what the attraction is, but I’ll take it.
- February: Remember When Bologna Didn’t Matter? - It’s not tha toften that a Subway sandwich frightens me. But on that day, it did.
- March: Blogging as Creative Outlet? - Thank God for blogs! It has allowed me to still feel somewhat artistic.
- April: Thoughts on Civility (series) - This was my main blogging thrust in April. Good stuff.
- May: My Friend Chris - You may not know it, but there is a lot I am trying to express in this post and the follow up, More About My Friend Chris.
- June: Upon review, I see I was a pretty crappy blogger in June. No posts qualify.
- July: A Piece of a Dream - This is a short story I wrote. This posts announces it.
- August: I Envision a Day: Status Quo - This is one of my attempts to sound more profound than I really am. I really do envision a day where the status quo will merely be a starting point though.
- September: My Mistress, My Master, My Tyrant - A concise post about the life of a rejected writer.
- October: To Prove a Point - I could have also called this one “Fun With Pols” - find out what happens when candidates stop being real, and start avoiding the issues.
- November: POEM: I wish we could go back - The first poem I had written in I don’t know how long. Was going to print on my Christmas cards, but wasn’t sure if all the recipients would “get it.”
- December: Random Lauds, Normalcy and Stuff We’d Rather Not Discuss… - I really returned to my blogging roots and rediscovered my blogging passion in December. This is one of many I might have selected, but I chose this one for the serious message. I mean every word of it and I pray that no one puts off something simply because of silly fears.
